Johnson Matthey showcase Ceramic ALM at Ceramics Expo
The Expo, in association with the American Ceramic Society, is the world's largest annual free-to-attend expo for the advanced ceramic and glass community. It saw over 300 exhibitors and 3000 visitors attend; promoting the advances in ceramic manufacturing and demonstrating the many and various industrial applications for ceramics.
Sam O’Callaghan, Research Group Leader, R&D said “This exhibition was a great way for us to showcase our technology for ALM. Our stand was highlighted by organisers as a ‘particular stand of interest’ and we had some productive discussions with several prospects.”
Johnson Matthey are able to print a variety of ceramic materials into unconventional shapes that cannot be made using traditional technology, with feature sizes down to 400µm. Using their unique, state of the art equipment, they can offer a scalable process with full characterisation at every step.
Additionally, we are the only global fabricator with a holistic range of complementing technologies for glass manufacturers; from ACTTM coatings and reliable thermocouples, to durable platinum and iridium fabrications and linings. Tailored products are made to an exceptional quality, providing unequalled resistance to corrosion from molten glass.
Preparations are already underway for 2018, with the conference returning to Ohio next year.
